Journal Entry – 063

Installed the infant car seat base on the CX-5 and did another test fit of the car seat.

At this point, as far as the cars go, we were ready for Baby Caleb to come out.

Watched the tail end of a NASCAR race with Davin. He was excited! He quickly understood that the Disney Pixar Cars movies, were based off NASCAR. He went off and started calling the race as he saw it — mimicking the race commentators in the movies. It was funny.

Ohhhhh crash in the wall! — I can't stop smiling when I listen to Davin saying that haha.

Coney shared an Instagram post on Facebook, where she greeted me on a special day. A very good friend of mine, from my MMORPG days, commented on her post and asked her to send his regards my way. I would have never known unless Coney told me. I've been trying to get my friends to reach me on my own site. But it just wasn't happening. I get more feedback and comments from strangers online, than I do from my family and friends. So, now I'm considering creating a new Facebook account. All of my posts on that account will be links to my (this) online journal. If I can't reach my friends from outside Facebook, I'll try to reach them from the inside.

This was one of those events that eventually led me to creating a new Facebook account this year.

I was wondering how some blog posts become so popular and get on news aggregator websites. Turns out, some authors share links to their own posts on those sites. I guess that's one way to gain an audience.

Created a new Facebook account. I have to admit to feeling like a failure while I was creating the new account. I don't know why that is. Maybe it was because I was proud of being off Facebook for over a year. As soon as I finished creating a new account, I started dreading the news feed. I assume my anxiety will be elevated for a few days while I go through the process of adding friends. It should go away after that. Still, the goal of creating a new Facebook account was to get my friends to visit my personal website (this online journal for one), by sharing links to it on my Facebook wall.
