Journal Entry – 021
Finally back to my own cubicle at work. For awhile there, I spent days in a room with other developers as part of a smaller “core team”. I honestly thought that setup wouldn't work, that it would make it hard to focus on work. But as it turns out, it works pretty well. Not being separated by cubicles made communication quick and effective. If anyone has questions, it gets answered quickly. If anyone needs help with something, it gets attention quickly.
Yesterday we went to the mall to look for a black loafer. I could not really find one I like, so I'll just buy one online. Anyway Davin did really well and walked on his own the whole time at the mall.
Afterwards we went for a late snack at the Cotton Patch Cafe. The food was not bad. I got the Dallas Duo and it was pretty good. The wife ordered Chicken Fried Steak but got Chicken Fried Chicken instead, it was still delicious. Their sweet potato fries were really good, better than the ones from Mooyah in my opinion.
Started reading a new book, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck. Sounds vulgar, but so far it has been a very good read.
Finished watching The Family on Netflix last night. I give it a 3/5 rating. Not sure what to make of it really. Not sure what I'm supposed to do about it. I mean now that I know about “The Family”, what am I supposed to do about it?
I ended up spending most of the night watching Netflix. I need to cut back on it. It should be just 1 episode or 1 hour max per day.
I need a better way to track exercises. Right now I just write them down as part of my daily log entries, which makes it hard to see how many were done in a given month.
