Journal Entry – 012
I've been slacking off on writing journal entries, so I'll do one on my lunch break to get my mind off work for a bit. Now to pick up where I left off... Looks like I'm way behind now. I'm starting this online journal entry with journal entries from months ago...
The song “Simple Man” by Shinedown is so easy to play on the guitar. It is simply C-G-Am throughout the whole song.
To be “bored”, is to be free of distraction.
At least, that's another way to look at it.
Sharing experiences feels like an essential part of human identity.
Cannot disagree with that. That's probably why people got so hooked on blogging, then social media.
An interesting idea I read today, is to record your surroundings and share it, or just store it to be shared at a later time. Like I could record what it sounds like to sit at my cubicle at work. I don't know if this will be interesting to other people, but maybe my son or grand-kids would be interested?
Broke a rule from my digital decluttter rules, but only because it was me and my wife's 10th wedding anniversary. I downloaded and used Instagram to post a greeting for my wife. The app was uninstalled that very night.
“All The Same” by Sick Puppies is such a good song!
You can't regret what you don't decide.
Twenty years ago, the entitled went online. Today, the entitled go offline.
Got that quote from this good article, How I Got My Attention Back.
The wife shared a link to a website in a text message. I couldn't open it because I didn't have a browser on my phone LOL! (This was back when I was still in the middle of a digital declutter.)
Wedding Anniversary dinner was at Uncle Julio's. It was just me and the wife, Davin was at the baby sitter. Place was not packed, for a weekday, but there were still more people than I expected. I ordered the Carne Asada while the wife had Beef Fajitas. They don't do “well done” on their steaks in this place, so we both went for “medium well.” The Carne Asada was good, but was a bit salty. Next time I'm going to try their Honey Chipotle Salmon. Their chips were okay, but they didn't have the delicious Creamy Jalapeno sauce that Chuy's has.
Lunch break is over, so I'll end here. I was only able to cover two days worth of journal entries. Oh well, work is still more important than writing online journal entries.
